danganronpa: infinity

yeah, this is my fanganronpa. im dying on this hill

i broke my foot in january and had 6 weeks non weight bearing. so i had a lot of time on my hands, obviously.
this video came up in my youtube recommended and i got hooked!!! i played all the dr games during covid loll, i'd literally sit at my desk and play a whole chapter everyday. ANOTHER time when you're supposed to sit around and do nothing

so when i was sitting around, doing nothing, i started to think about what i would do in my own dangaronpa game. i think its something everyone thinks about, what kind of murder would i do? wouldn't it be so cool if this were an ultimate?
and then i started writing down what i was thinking about, and now i'm making a website page dedicated to it

story set up

generations after the original games, ultimates guide the world to perfection. it's the only natural path as long as there are people who are just THE BEST at something. if there is an ultimate whatever, why would there ever be a non-optimal way to complete that task ever again? while not run by ultimates, the world pushed evolution to new limits economically, socially, physically, EVERYTHINGLY

but what happens when there is nothing left to improve? how do you improve the human body when sickness is eliminated and aging is optional?

the incident this story begins with is the destruction of the space station Astropos. the station was created to be the optimal human living experience, set with everything one would need to survive AND evolve in an entirely different environment. the information stored in the Astropos would prepare any person to take on the repsonsibilities of an ultimate and succeed without guidance of the ultimate themselves because the ultimate teacher created all instruction materials. (bc obviously they would??? be fr)

you get the picture, everything is perfect now. so why would there be a need for ultimates at all? there's no benefit to being the best anymore. and that's a very shakey position to be in when your whole thing is being "the best" at something

a group of ultimates sabatoge the ship, ruining the instruction materials and the physical state of the station. Okay great, now they're just stuck on Earth and they have to listen to the Ultimates! right? hahaha...right?

obviously not. people are pissed and now they can't trust the ultimates to rebuild.

In retaliation, the world leaders decide to place the Ultimates into the space station for a killing game. A “lets do the hunger games again” decision meant to reinforce the power of the world leaders. the remaining Ultimates, some associated with the event and others not, are placed on the space station with their memories wiped to before the peak of their careers to prevent them from remembering any specifics of the station’s layout or access points.
